Swizzle Round-Up

Wednesday, June 18, 2008   (0 Comments)
We've had a fun spring of visiting WM alumni around the country! In March, alumni spent the day with the S08 class in Seattle, on a tugboat and for a walking tour of historic Seattle. Later in the evening, we gathered at the University of Washington's Burke Museum for Pizza and a talk by Alex Conley S90 about salmon recovery efforts. Click here for pictures of some of the events!

In Portland, the S08 students and local alumni were treated to a relaxing evening and dinner graciously hosted by Tom Marlitt F78.

Across the country in Portland, ME, alumni gathered at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute for a swizzle and public lecture by Jim Carlton.

Ice cream sundaes drew a crowd of alumni and families to the New England Aquarium in May, where we were treated to a talk by Dr. Greg Stone about his fascinating work in Kirabati. Many also enjoyed the new IMAX 3D movie, Dolphins and Whales. Later in May, alumni and Mystic Seaport friends gathered at the Youth Training Building at Mystic Seaport for a pot-luck and benefit concert by Don Sineti, hosted by Marc and Maria Christenson Bernier F92.

We rounded up the summer with a cool happy hour at the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Terminal. Alumni enjoyed bivalves while catching up with others in the city.

Alumni, thank you for staying in touch with Williams-Mystic, and keeping us updated on your current adventures! It's always a pleasure to see faces old and new: let us know if you want to host a gathering in your area!
